Need some ICW Info for a run from Daytona to Ft Pierce

I need to move my new boat from Daytona to FT Pierce. I am assuming 4 to 5 knots cruising speed. I think my first night anchorage will be just north of Merritt Island. Any advise for a good spot to duck off and sleep?

With a 28' boat I might look at the anchorage opposite the Eau Gallie Yacht Basin just below Melbourne. Little shallow, but well protected and an easy in and out off the ditch. If the Yacht Basin has a slip open, they are cheap and friendly. Liked my stop there on the way down to Marathon. Easy run to Ft Pierce inlet.
