iPAD for Navigation at Sea

Hi Cruisers, just wanting info regards suitability with iPAD as Navigation Aid and is it possible to use the MacENC programme? Appreciate any help... Cheers Harry (FUTURE DAYS)

Not sure about MacENC, but there's a good long thread running on the Ipad here:

Also use the site search feature to look for other threads including Ipad references. There's also an Android tablet thread here somewhere. . . .

iNavX app is reasonably priced, plus so many apps that are applicable: inclinometer, weather, ais, grib........

You can use MacENC on your Mac and iNavX on your iPad/iPhone. Both work with the Navionics Gold charts from X-Traverse. Both can operate independently or can be linked wirelessly. We respond to emails, so feel free to send us more questions.

I love my MacENC! I can't wait to try iNavX when I get my iPad. Tech support always answers my emails right away, usually instantly. They also post here regularly.
