Where to get a webbing reel

I'm looking for a good sturdy webbing reel. I want to be able to spool about 300' of 2” polypropylene webbing for stern ties, kedging or whatever else arises. Obviously, I'd like to have the line easily accessible but compact and out of the way which is why I'm looking for a reel. Thanks!

Re: Where to get a webbing reel

I just installed an Ankarolina, 185 feet or so of 1" polyester webbing, holds 6600 lb, plenty for my reasonably anticipated needs. No room aft for a chainpipe/rode. Stores nicely on the sternrail. Have not had a chance to use it. Made a suncover to keep it from getting eaten up.

Found mine on craigslist for $100, never installed

Found a really nice one! Bulletproof!
Webbing Flat Rope Stern TIE Reel | eBay
A bit more than I was hoping to spend but the alternatives were pretty low quality and this one is actually pretty cheap for something that I will never have to replace! I'm maturing into the camp of "buy quality the first time instead of messing around" I think!

Re: Where to get a webbing reel

Is it one of these timberwood ones? That would be almost worth flying down to get it!

Re: Where to get a webbing reel

I looked at both of these while I was searching. The ultra anchor one is the quickline reel which looks to me to be sort of a light guage stainless. Maybe a little flimsy? And my understanding is that stainless is more succeptible to corrosion than marine aluminum. The Ankarolina one is plastic and I just don't have any use for plastic on deck! I also thought it was weird that they both use white webbing when a simple switch to black webbing would probably help a lot with UV tolerance...

Re: Where to get a webbing reel

Here is another quality supplier with a wide range of options: various width, diameters and tonnage. I have my eye on the AMG 6/135 model.

Edit: Sorry, I see that
SailRedemption already mentioned this supplier.

Re: Where to get a webbing reel

So, what is the general consensus on materials and length? I like the polypropylene because it floats but I also like strength of polyester. I bought a 300' length but I see that some people are talking about shorter lengths. What is the optimal?
On a related note: what other uses are there?

Re: Where to get a webbing reel

Our reels can use both webbing and conventional rode. A limited amount of chain can even be loaded on the reel.

The reels are constructed of starboard and stainless so they are corrosion resistant.

Reels can be custom specified for different types of pushpit rail configurations.
