Quick 1202 zero reset question

My Quick chain counter no longer shows zero when the anchor is all tgecway up. (Positive .6m)

How do I reset this to zero without calibration?

The manual indicates a "Reset" function in the settings menu which is used "during installation or when the chain counter does not indicate the actual amount of chain lowered".

If I use this option with the anchor fully up, do I need to go though the calibration process again?

Finally, it it normal to have to periodically reset to zero? I presume caused by slip on the gypsy.

Thanks

Re: Quick 1202 zero reset question

chain jumping on the gypsy could be the reason, would have to jump a lot though (gypsyslip on the axle has no influence: the magnet is mounted in a hole on the under/inside of the gypsy)

You can reset the counter without any fear.
The calibration is not affected.by the reset action.
My advice is to do the process when the anchor is not on the bow roller, but rather when itvis down at water level. You will now count the length of chain in the water in lieu of length of chain out of the windlass.
