WindMeters & Horseshoe Life Bouys

I was wondering if any of you had any suggestions for what I should look for in a windmeter or a horseshoe life bouy. Do you have any suggestions for reliable brands. Also, for the horseshoe life bouys are there any sites where I could get it personalized?? I have done some internet searching, but havent had any luck. Thanks in advance!

Where are you?

I bought my life ring (horseshoes no longer kosher in Canada) at a local chandlery and they did the lettering.

As for the wind meter...you mean a handheld or a mast-mounted anemometer with a readout?

Either way, most chandleries should have them in stock.

Connemara has two old Mariner SR readouts -- one from the anemometer on the mast for speed and one from the Windex for direction. LOve them both, but I think Mariner may have gone under a while back.

Welcome to the forum Kailani. I've moved the thread to a more appropriate forum.

I would also like to suggest that you add a bit of information to your profile (Click on the word "PROFILE" at the top right of this page). This will help others define their answers to your questions.

Good luck.
