Freedom '33 Cat Ketch Sails

I am thinking of buying a Fredomm '33 schaol draft / centerboard with freestanding carbon fiber mast. I am useing this vessel as a permment liveaboard and to follow the seasons and points beyond up the Tom Tenn waterway to the Tenn. area to spend summers with my son and his family and then reteat to the Keys in winter...hate the cold...

The boat has all the needed draft and height to travel without dropping the masts. It has been re-fitted and only lacks solar, wind and dinghy to support life on the hook..... HOWEVERRRRRR......

the sails are marginal and are of the cuff-luffed type..as in over the top of the mast. The newer models use a track and slides. Haven't found too much info on the upgrade and am wondering if anyone has any info on this.

I was a liveaboard for 22 yrs. until I swallowed the hook and had to sell the Glander Tavanna '33 a limited prodoction vessel that was yawl rigged in a conventioal manner.I have a constrution back ground, a Yammaha mechanic Cert. and am currently site super for a lage private home.Nedless to say I will be doing most of the work outside of the sails themselves.

A little long-winded, but I know what i am jumping into and I'm using BOTH feet.

CLEAN WAKES,
Michael
