Just a datapoint for the OP: I get the exact same run-time error pop-up when reading a Yahoo Finance forum (for NT discussion, the company I work for) on my Win2K machine at work.

At home, on my WinXP laptop, I do not get these run-time errors on that forum (or on this one, for that matter!)

My Win2K system is fully patched and up-to-date (or at least according to our IT department at work!), so I am wondering if this is a Win2K thing?

This function of the BBS appears to be problematic. See if that resolves the issue.

I work for an Internet Tech Support company. We are seeing lots of these errors lately. This has to do with Internet Explorer and microsoft.
BTW did you load IE7? You may see some other problems as well. IE7 is having diffculty with some secure sites, because it cannot display both secure and non secure items .
We are referring folks to microsoft for these issues. I will look up the article number and fix and post later as I am able to. Can't access this from my work station.
