Looking for a Gemini 105 in Europe for around 50000 EUR. I spoke to a few people who sold theirs in Greece around that price. I am aware of the one in Preveza, looking for a different offer.

Hi no not yet.

The boat was quite tired since she was unkept in the yard for almost 3 years and on top of that the owner couldn’t reach her due to covid. So she needed a few weeks of work which we tried to negotiate that into the price but the owner didn’t budge so we gave up. VAT was another factor since she’s not officially imported into the EU. So still looking for one, the UK is a bad market right now for us due to VAT when importing one into the EU (only applies to EU residents).

How does VAT work for non EU residents? It doesn't apply? Even in you purchase in the EU?

If you are taking it out of the EU, no issues.

If it stays, non-EU residents can do "temporary import" for up to 18 months. Then the boat has to get out of the EU to reset the clock.

The only question would be the status prior to purchase. If it was already imported per the letter of the law, it might be too late.

What exactly are you expecting at 50,000euro?

You can find some nice ones in the US for that or a little less but they will be 20-25yr old models. Add in $10-15k and you can ship one to Europe. The challenge then is can you get it registered as it's not likely to be CE certified.
