Designated anchorage-St. Simons Sound..

..just south of Mornining Star marina.

Several people have stated there is a designated anchorage ( not Active Captains) just south of Morning Star marina off the St. Simons sound.. but I can’t find it on any charts..am I missing something?

There are "designated anchorages" (on the charts) and then there are plain ol' decent anchorages (not marked). Maybe the statements you've seen/heard were just about good spots to anchor near there?

We left Golden Isles Marina at about 0430 yesterday, headed north... long day...
