The 7# cap is standard. I added my own recovery bottle, so that I seldom remove the cap except to flush the system. When I added the bottle, I kept the original cap in place. Works fine.

I cant help you there but there has been much written on the repair of that pump. Many rebuild places have been recommended that the customers spoke highly.

Glad it worked for you. Sorry I couldnt nail down that sochet size for you. I had the extra extensions that I stacked together to get to that bugger from the rear of the engine. I dreaded getting...

You could but I didnt have a set of allen sockets. I therefore cut a piece of the allen wrench that I had and used...

I used a 1/4" rachet and about 15" in extensions. I then took an allen head wrench (either 7 or 10mm, sorry), cut off a piece and inserted the piece in the right size sochet for that allen head bolt....

I got my remote kit at Pep Boys. The remote was for a ford as I recall and a PH8 Fram filter. But the Perkins filter fits. I have run that on my 4108 for 21 yrs, 7000+ hrs.

You need a spring pluger seal AND an upper rubber seal that is against the inside of the cap top. If yoiu dont have the latter, then you could leak around the neck as well as out the overflow tube....

7LB cap and I added a reservoir tank so that I seldom open the cap to ck the fluid level. As stated you need a sealing 7 lb cap for pressuring the system.

I had to replace the shifter rod and plate. It leaked bunches. Parts place said theat was very rare.

There have been numerous threads written on the throttle shaft leaking. Are you sure thats not where yours originates? If so do a search for the threads and look to replace the shaft o rings....

You should be running 30W diesel oil. If running 15-40w, you woud be getting lower pressure. I have about 15lbs at 700 when hot. Remember your oi and temp gauge could be off. I would ck the pressure...
