Using WxWidgets 3.2.0 to build OpenCPN and its plugins will bring new funny things for several linux softwares...


Switching from WxWidgets 3.0 to 3.1.5 brought already the problems to OpenCPN...

I use to build rpms of OpenCPN

I did this for OpenCPN 5.6.2 and its plugins
Built upon wxgtk3.0 everything works fine

But I found that building upon wxgtk 3.1.5 induces some problems...

Everything is OK now : I uninstalled my debug packages letting only the normal packages installed

I launched normally OpenCPN and o-charts_pi works perfectly on a fresh install...

For the moment I only have the rpms for OpenCPN 5.6.2 and its plugins on my own computer : I can't yet propose them on our repositories because o-charts_pi is not working

I can test on flatpak 20.08 inside a linux x86-64 system
but not inside a x86 system

(my old x86 mini laptop can't afford flatpak x86 20.08 ... but OpenCPN 5.2.4 worked well on it...
