The 6'7" is ok I have 6'2" it's the mast height over 65 that would concern me. Mine is now 63 and I can slip in and out of the ICW as I like

I built my Roberts 434 and strechedot so it's about 46. Took almost 20,000 hours. That's the issue not so much the money.

If you anchor in coconut grove just south of the Rickenbacker bridge there are two very convenient places to fuel.

Most balsa used today and as far back as the 90's was impregniated with resin which helps it resist breaking down. It is also laid on edge as it is cubed and held together with a thin sheet of glass....

Yup I experienced the same thing and 20 years later and one rebuild its still works like a champ.. Dead band was my downfall when I started with it. I'm 18 tonnes

I think communities differentiate between live aboard a that never move and live on derelict boats and those who are cruisers and stay the winter on for a few months at a time.
