Since you are going to the effort of identifying the holding tank capacity, this would be a good time to install some type of level indicator to remove the tank level status question in the future.

Empty the tank, clean it out ... then start filling it with known gallons of water ... that should get you pretty close ...

A concern that came up to me was this a DIY project? Or did a engineer come up with a design to impelement the change? If so, how close was it followed?

The question of baffles did enter my mind...

I did verify that the information is accurate.

Also, I did find another boat, same model, different year, that has 112 gallon
fuel capacity.

So maybe they can be modified to carry that much...

I found a 35' boat that has a 185 gallon fuel tank. Sailboatdata indicates that it came from the factory with a 33 gallon fuel tank.

Doing the following calculations:

33 x 7.25# =...

Hello,

Why can't you splice in a water meter type gauge that tells you gallons consumed. When you fill up re-set the meter? No sensor required down in a tank.
