just a little update:
I checked Plic Paklena, Umag/Croatia in OpenCPN
List of Lights = 45° 26,5' N 13° 30,3' E
against CM93 (262° 113m) and NV-Digital HR1 (266° 121m) difference.

tks I am passing the Male Karte to official sureveyors. Maybe it is the chart datum. The yellow red waypoins indicate the positions as per List of Lights

Report of findings:

The DTM is important! you can home in to an exact position comparing the new chart with an existent, in my case CM93.

MapCal_2.exe >> mc2bsbh.exe >> imgkap.exe gave me...

btw. the reason why the chart was not north up was OpenCPN. I had to reboot for another reason and then all OCPN settings were gone. So I uninstalled and installed 4.0 again and the chart was north...

Wow, thank you seems to fit but I have to dive deeper in it as I want to make 30 of them + a lot of harbour charts.

Yes as the original chart is BESSEL 1841 (which is in the georef.c but gives an error on OpenCPN) the chart has to be corrected 0,01 minutes N and 0,28 min E and one has to insert seconds in DTM. I...

Checked with WGS84. First view position different but chart orientation is the same.

p.s: I think it is not really an OpenCPN issue as KAP files are widely used in other navaids

No patches, Version is 4.0, tool is imgkap. OK I try WGS84 instead.

Facing some problems making KAP file. Unfortunately I did not find the exact standard definition for KAP file. There is something at sourceforge and something at OpenCPN but no basic standard...
