I just realized you have an Albin Vega with a tiller and want to move upto a 34 foot boat.

Disreguard everything I said. A tiller will be perfect for you.

Tiller or Wheel

Tillers are great until they are not.

I have never heard anyone ever, never ever say they wished they had a tiller on a boat over 30 ft.

I had a Sparcraft Masts on my Catalina 380 and never ever had a problem with it the five years that I owned the boat. It just worked , no issues

In Mast furling on a mono hull is sweet. I had one and loved it. Easy out easy in.
You sail more with it because its so easy.
Wish I had it on my cat.
