with all the issues Hogan has Sailing and keeping that "Dink" of his pointed in the right direction,
H'd probably be better off giving it up and buying a "travel trailer".

We were going to purchase one of those "electric" motors for our dink.. but after looking at it and the specs, the charging is from a 110 outlet and we dont seam to have one of those on our boat..

Theres nothing wrong with tacking up a channel, But the post of the OP included tacking throu the "crouds" and over a busy holliday weekend.. Its an accident waiting to happen..

Must be me but I dont see 10 foot seas breaking or the efects of 30 knot winds..

Got to question some of the remarks you've made..
sailing at the point that the rail in in the water and objects are flying around the cabin due to the way you are sailing are NOT showing good...

I saw something a couple years ago durring the big boat series at "Saint Frances" YC.. The boat was setting in the slip, sails up and flogging.. one of the crew grabed the boom and pulled it out to...

Something else that dosent really make sence.. the "Santa Anna winds the OP speaks of, blow from east to west, they always have, and thats why people hate them, do to the winds passing from the hot...
