Thanks rock, yea teak would be nice but pretty pricey as I just plan on using it for the dinghy. I've searched around and found actual white oak to use. Which isn't supposed to turn black like red...

I'm not totally sure but I think they just come with the white oak rub rails. Although the foam and canvas would be nice but the stuff is so damn pricey.

Yea that's the way it seems to be with them. The Dyer's seem to have a loyal following that's for sure. That and they command a steep price! I was thinking about either epoxing into the rail some...

UHMW is not a bad idea! However, it would depend on the type of dinghy for those with strong sturdy hulls that are reinforced or cored I'd see no problem. However for a Dyer dinghy they have just a...
