To me, it’s less about the cost and more about using something that is most effective. My understanding of why dynamic climbing ropes might be a good idea has to do with their elasticity. Their...

I really am interested in understanding this stuff. I spend a lot of time an anchor, and rely on my snubbers to take continual pounding...

Am following, and learning. What’s the advantage of climbing rope over standard 3-strand? Is its elasticity characteristics better?
