Just perfect for motoring up to and dropping the anchor behind using the winch control in the cockpit.

I use the line around a chain plate, loop outboard, winch inboard and the loop on a boat hook technique. Works OK usually. I have backed up to the cleat going astern so the boat weather cocks in...
