So just as I prefer to use a combo of devices and old school for navigating, I use both for personal communication. There may be times that a sext is fun, but I don't think you can beat a little... |

Not gonna quote the original cuz it was too long, but be warned if you think your iPhones, watches, and Tablets with GPS will work as a backup at sea, be sure to test them within and outside of WiFi... |

+1 on liking paper for functional reasons, big picture, draw lines, easier to read, easier to get latitudes and longitudes... some of mine are old so I check them against NOAA online or print out... |
