We came to a similar conclusion. At some point you need to decide and commit. In Oz we call it 'sh#t or get off the pot'. (pot meaning toilet)

With the caveat that we got a good boat, well...

Lack of a good maintenance is a massive red flag for me personally. Money spent has little correlation with condition.
