**Allegedly** this is why Lock Crowther had small bulbs fitted to the Spindrift catamaran series also - additional buoyancy in the bows to aid lift after burying the bow(s).

Might be worth looking at ventpipe and drainpipe 'through roof' fittings, as there are several rubber-compound flexible fittings that might do most of the sealing work, with some 3M product doing the...

Insulating windows is a good idea, but bubble wrap is cheaper and does a better job - provided it's only light you want to get through.... ;)

Yeah, condensation's an issue in cooler weather, as it's always warmer inside the boat, but best thing to do is site hatches away from bedding, or ensure drip trays at base of windows/ports to direct...
