This is news to me ! In my time , early sixties, it was only British English that we have at school in France... Perhaps they change it later but I'm not so sure |

It's "Ça va ?" meaning "you're OK?" The very formal way would be would be " comment allez vous?" or "comment vas tu?" meaning "How do you do?" |

Sorry but you can say "au revoir" and be back in a couple of hour if you say "adieu" you're not supposed to come back soon BUT in some places in southwest France you can say "adieu" in stead of... |
