The original line looks like this stuff, very heavy duty 12 plait, has a rectangular cross section, we only use them when it is going to blow hard in a Marina or leaving boat not attended in marina....

White boat, white lines. I made all new black 16 mm double braid, look good.

Down side they leave black marks on gel coat. White or light grey is the way to go.
