The steady drip is from a weep hole to indicate first seal is gone a warning the second seal could go allowing water flow into the engine oil pan. |

My Perkins 4-108 the second seal (water to oil) failed allowing the oil pan to fill with sea water. The dip stick obviously showed an excessive oil level. |
