If I understand people correctly on some of the threads here then I'm not required to fly my country's flag. Do you know if this is correct?

From what I've been reading on here if I have an American boat I'm not allowed to fly the Canadian flag.

No. I had it state registered. Although if I had my time back I think I would have coughed up the extra money for the Canadian taxes.

Do I not have to check out because its an American vessel?
