Looks like a transom style transducer?

An in hull transducer works just fine through the potter hull. Just mount the base to hull, add mineral oil, and there you go.

Congrats on your new boat. I owned one as my first boat, sailed the hell out of it. Great for lakes, I miss access to cool mountain lakes, but they aren't connected to the rest of the water that...
