I would say that 16mm is rather thin for L450.
And do not forget extra lines for springs.

Sorry, my mistake. One boat length is good. It will normally allow to go from boats cleat to dock's bollard and back to the cleat. This allows for slipping lines and leaving with the lines on board....

I would go for:
18-20mm (the 20mm will be 20% heavier!)
about twice the length of the boat (it will allow you to go around a dock bollard and back to the boat)
Stretchable (less shocks when...
