For users of NOAA charts it is so much easier to go to the NOAA site and download the zip file containing all the charts.

My mistake. While the track is being laid down it is red. Once tracking is turned off the track is magenta.

What is it that happens when you add a new chart...

What is it that happens when you add a new chart directory or force a full database rebuild? That takes a long time and seems to visit every chart in the directory.
