Yes. And currently the exhaust manifold is in the keel cooling circuit.

I am currently installing a rebuilt engine, and am wanting to simplify the plumbing as I do it.

Can anybody tell me the purpose of having the cooling water circulate through the exhaust manifold.

I am thinking of doing away with the water jacketed manifold for a dry manifold,...
