We have our antifoul/paint line about 100mm above the actual waterline. If you don't do this, you end up with stains and green crud on the paint just above the waterline.

This is where you'll benefit from the weight saved in construction. The hulls will still have the same DWL as the original 1160, but you'll be able to carry your gear without going deeper than DWL.

Possibly, but as I said our boat is ~ 6 feet longer and lighter. Compared to the standard 1160, probably quite a bit lighter. So it's no surprise our hulls would be more easily driven.

We generally run our Honda 20's at around 3600 - 4200 RPM.

On one motor we do around 5.5 knots at 3800 RPM, using about 2 litres per hour. Two engines at 3800 is around 6.8 knots, using maybe...

They sure look nice under sail. Really like the almost square-top mains Seawind fit these days.
