Vertical grade Wilsonart is .186 lbs sqft. Not really the end of the world to use it, but would add up to 300 lbs if you needed 50 sheets.

I just had them quote for 200 sheets of Divinycell and it's well under half the single sheet price listed on their site. Coosa maybe similar.

1x1" stick built frames covered with 1/4" plywood is going to be the cheapest, lightest and easiest to build. You'll need 3/8" for just about ever top surface (counter top, settee top, bed base),...

1/4" Plywood with a stiff fiddle on the edge would make pretty strong and lightweight shelves.

I love MDO as much as the next guy, but on a performance catamaran, it's not a great choice. MDO faced plywood is heavy. The MDO we've used was pound for pound identical to Hydotek.
