Judging by the teak seating no way is she that old... unless its been redone... as to the hinges.. can't get the picture big enough to tell on my notebook... could be the table was varnished in situ...

Do a crossing and you'll find rust spots on your GRP decks where sea waters dried and the trace elements oxidise...
Its an inescapable fact of life... most metals have a finite life and need...
