What sounds good in planning often results in too much of a PITA in practice.
There are ALREADY so many things to do and remember to do on a Cruising Boat, the simpler you can make your boats...

As long as you put in a Y-valve so that it’s either 100% water maker or 100% head that’s acceptable. But of course you will always be forgetting and grow irritated with having the turn the y-Valve...

It will be a never ending headache, put in a new through hull as deep down as possible.
