I too would likely rebuild an old Perkins or Lehman. But there is that thing about never quite being able to make something old "as new" overhauling old things.

It is hard to figure sometimes for sure. I know on small powerboats, you can get a rebuilt GM 350 CI engine from a well known company for ~$1600. Installation would be above that. Yet other engines...
