Exactly. The fact that the questions are being asked here and the apparent unpreparedness says "dont take that boat out in the open". Not knocking the OP's, just saying many boats are not known well...

Carebear: As the boat is new to you, there are many many possibilities why it's overheating. It could be very simple and inexpensive.... or not.

In Southern Florida the bridges in that area open at specific times. The times are listed in publications. Calling on VHF is good when you get near.

The problem is the post is vague, the OP states there's no problem with the engine, but wants a tow etc etc. I'm not sure anyone can figure out what's going on. :banghead:

I too don't understand at all. If the motor is working why do you need a tow to open water?
OP: If your boat is working, just go thru the bridges yourself. Just learn to take care approaching...
