Sorry I'm sure you know the obvious.

Well I can use the helm,emergency tiller,auto pilot, hole in the rudder,balance the sails..(advantage of full keel) and then when all is lost I can drag...

I own a gale rider as well but doubt my Island Packets 4 other methods of steering would all fail necessitating using the drogue to steer.
