Depending on the mast and its hardware, it is sometimes possible to build a jib where the luff rope is made of strong, low stretch material (e.g. Spectra). If the halyard is of similar design then... |

Small strong jib on the inner furler is the easiest to hoist and douse, next comes a small jib on the inner fore stay. No way to add an inner, detachable forestay? Perhaps a 'structural' jib can... |
