true, my comment was a little over the top but it will use battery power the whole time the engine is running ... my alternator needs 80 watts to power the field coils.... the op cares so much about...

if you do this you will burn them out as the field coils will be energized and no cooling will take place with nothing turning

I've also got a sabre M135, (135 horse power) the original alternators are 70amp with internal regulator. They produce nearly no load and are only there to help maintain the start batteries. They...
