If it was my boat, I'd bypass the relay and just rely on the 12V breaker. There are times when the engine isn't running and you may want to use the windlass in a hurry...

Hard to tell which wire goes where from that picture.

From memory, G1 goes between the alternator and the windlass relay. Go to your alternator and look for a loose wire labelled G1. Then call...
