No electronic charts when we went in the 80s

We mostly us us charts. We also got a few British charts and one from a Russian submarine

In the 70s we took navigation classes. The teacher either was the winning navigator or taught the winning navigator that won the transpac 8 times in a row. The race is every other year.

When we were cruising we couldn't afford or carry all the charts. Once we were past certain points we traded charts with people going the other way. We ended up with an interesting mix. Even had...

We cruised in the 80s and were aware of inaccuracy then again we had no Gps so our navagation was off to. Seem to work out
