Synthetic oil has some clear and big advantages for highly stressed terrestrial engines -- the molecules actually lengthen with heat to keep viscosity and film strength up. I wouldn't mind at all... |

I think there is some good sense in all of that, but don't forget oil temperature. Car and truck engines, if they have oil coolers at all, cool the oil with hot coolant, or with air. So oil temps... |
