The flame treatment on cut edges of acrylic is actually an option from most plastic shops when you order parts cut to size. I plan to do this on my new pilothouse windows… I guess I’m gonna... |

That clear coat doesn’t require an oven to cure, right? I am considering it on parts like polished stainless steel or chromed plastic etc. but I don’t think see-through image quality would be good... |

When you hire a posh contractor, you can expect them to protect the finish but not when hiring a guy: it’s up to you to take care of that and be like a hawk keeping an eye on things. Don’t touch... |
