I was back with updating OpenCPN: now on 5.2.2 I have seen that my suggestion for typing a scale value has been implemented.
I ask now for the "lock" button, just not to have the scale of the map...

Yes, but notwithstanding it will be helpful, if I know the number I have to type in to show a desired area, i.e. the surrounding of my harbour, or my anchorage, etc.
instead of clicking on + and -...

using a wheel mouse the scale of the Chart zoom from very low to very high.
Please, consider to insert a “lock” button near the + and -
And it will be helpful also to have the numeric scale...
