And you learned a lot about your boat. Did you drill out the little 1/16 inch holes in the end of the pickup tube?

The pickup tube should be open at the bottom and should have no screen in it. The idea is to filter anything that the tube picks up at the filter. I have never seen a fuel pickup with just a small...

Did you inspect the tank before adding fuel? It may have had a bunch of grunge in it that got stirred up when the new fuel was added.

I certainly have had problems with a plugged fuel...
