Okay you kind of got it, with a few exceptions:
- Atlantic? Belize is in Central America, and we will travel from the WEST coast of FL there....
-We want to travel 1 time every year or two NOT...

The only thought about trailering was due to mentions in other threads about trailering to the keys being the best option, but I see now that applies to smaller vessels, unless we go the Panga route,...

Thanks again for the input... We figure that getting out there w a good Captain will go a long way toward feeling out what kind of boat is best, but right now are erring toward power, 40ish foot...

Yes we are thinking 40+ feet and yes looking at buying in Dulce but a few years from now...want to take things real slow! I never heard of that race, I am googling it now, that's a really interesting...

This is definitely one of the things we are continuing research into. We have been blessed with an investment income capable of purchasing and (we think) maintaining such a vessel...albeit not a new...
