Respectfully disagree. I have the IP 3 qt model onboard and use it several times a week. It's an awesome machine for the boat but does take some time to learn. I have a friend who has the high end...

I have a foodsaver and mostly it works fine. I use the rolls to make bags to size. You do need to be careful or you won't seal it right.

I'm ditching zip lock bags as they don't last that long. ...
