Thanks for that...using that rationale, and another tip from another member of the forum who mentioned pre-rigging a line midships and picking it up as I come in is what I ended up doing.

One good thing about this berth, is it is not too exposed to weather, because of where it is in the river, and also the current is not too severe. The marina has been great telling me which tides are...

To leave the dock. My plan is to untie springs, then push bow out, and rotate on stern line, and motor out.
