It's just a matter of choice. Someone in the tropics might like black and someone in the artic might like white. Not good choices maybe but so what. But that is just my opinion.

That and blue or black bottom paint if you turtle. I wonder why international orange hadn't become a bottom paint? :confused:

After reading the posts, it would be helpful to know what you hull is made of.

Naturally a darker hull will absorb more heat. Is the hull cored or insulated?

Is the trade off worth it to...

My father painted the hull black and varnished topsides white. I'm not sure about a longer season being in the north east with a wooden boat but sure made her the sharpest looking one of her...
