My experience with customs officers is that they can get quite snotty with things they have never seen before and most are not even familiar with their own laws. I believe they are among the dumbest... |

License it in which country ? If you are suggesting it be licensed in Canada ..... that is not a piece of paper I would be comfortable presenting to customs in the UK or EU. |

True, but that has no bearing on each individual country's law. Every country I have ever landed in, the first thing they ask for is passport and registration. I'm not brave enough to tell them they... |

1-2 weeks has been normal for several years however there has been quite a back log over the last few months and 5 weeks is about right for now. |

There is no minimum tonnage for Registration and it cannot be estimated. if under 15metres one may use the "simplified formula". or "assigned formal" or if over 15metres one must have the measurement... |

Provinces neither license nor register boats. Both processes "licensing" and "registration" are Federal through Transport Canada. |
